Sweet Drift, by Knock Out Roses / Star Roses and Plants, has been an excellent disease-resistant performer for me here in Zone 6b of Central South Pennsylvania over the years. I have four of these beauties planted in a row. They just love to try to take over my walkway that runs parallel to them. Though they were alleged to be small ever-blooming shrubs, these clusters of abundant pink easily grow 3 – 4 ft high and about 2 – 3 ft wide if I let them. Oh, I don’t mind their eager growth though for they sweetly greet me every time I drift to and fro.

Sweet Drift in all her shades of pink say farewell. {Sept 2016}
These roses obviously love being in your garden, I didn’t realise how perfectly formed the blooms are when they just open, so thank you for sharing that!

Are these the Drift roses or the carpet roses that are larger? I want to plant near my front sidewalk .
I bought the coral drift even though I much prefer the pink, but my place did not have the Sweet drift. I’m thinking of trying to exchange them before I plant. I am almost as bad on these colors as I am paint colors.
Problem in deciding on these is the flower is different shape as well as some have a scent and some don’t.
Have you seen in person the Coral? I am torn on making decision to exchange them . It seems so silly, but I am worried about the Coral? Hope your idea might help me. Yours are great looking.

Hi Sherrill,
These are Star Plants and Roses’ (the Knock Out brand) ‘Sweet Drift’. You can get them at just about any Lowes, Home Depot, or nursery. They are only supposed to get about 1 to 2 feet high as they are in theory more of a groundcover rose, but mine easily grew to over 3 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide. It is definitely a tough decision between the Coral Drift and Sweet Drift. I absolutely love the Sweet Drift! I also have the Peach Drift and Apricot Drift from the same brand , but Sweet Drift is my favorite. It has been an excellent producer of abundant and beautiful little blooms. I’m sure Coral would look great too, but Sweet Drift is my favorite thus far. Hope that helps! -Carrie
